July 25-27 Chop Class
Join me for an exciting 3-day event where we’ll be chopping a 1952 Chevy coupe!  
Friday:
We’ll kick things off with layout planning and a casual pizza night in the shop. It’s a great chance to meet everyone and get familiar with the project.  
Saturday:
This is the big day! We’ll make all the necessary cuts and lower the roof to see the transformation come to life. While I’m aiming for a 4-inch chop, if someone purchases the car, they’ll have input on the final look. This class isn’t just about chopping this car—it’s about understanding the principles behind it. You’ll learn:  
- Why specific cuts are made and how to achieve your desired look.  
- How to realign the glass once the roof is lowered.  
- The importance of bracing and how to prevent unwanted movement.  
- Different types of chops and their unique challenges.  
I’ll answer all your questions and help you gain the confidence to tackle a chop on your own vehicle—or just enjoy being part of this unique project! Lunch will be catered with tacos, and we’ll accommodate any allergies—just let me know in advance.  
Sunday:
We’ll focus on reassembling the pieces we didn’t finish on Saturday. This includes shaping new metal for the sail panels around the back window. It’s like a mini metal-shaping class where you’ll learn to shrink and stretch panels using simple tools.
