This class is a beginner metalshaping class that is meant to give you a fast knowledge of how metal shaping works along with the simple tools and techniques to do this at home. We will cover every powered machine in the shop as well. The class-size will be limited to 10 people so that we are not waiting for equipment, and everyone gets the most out of their time here!

The cost is $800 for Friday and Saturday (Sunday optional)

Friday - 6pm “shop night”

Come down to the shop for some pizza and drinks. Get familiar with the space and your classmates! this is a great time to ask questions and talk about your aspirations here.

Saturday - 8 am till 6 pm. Coffee, snacks, and lunch provided.

This is our big day! We will cover multiple tools and techniques on shrinking stretching and forming. I will start by focussing on and tools and provide projects for the class to practice these techniques. Once you’re comfortable with that we will move on to power hammers. We will be using everything in the shop! Our projects include bead forming, making curved flanges, stretching a speed blister in a wood form, shrinking flat sheet into a bowl by hand ( and machines), paper patterns, and so much more. you are welcome to bring a project also if you like.
